“My passion for environmental sustainability began in high school when I learned that in some areas of the ocean, microplastics outnumber phytoplankton. That alarming fact sparked my lifelong mission to give back to the planet.”
In December of 2024, I found the perfect opportunity to take action. After attending a presentation on Invent Oregon, I was struck by the staggering impact of cigarette filter pollution. Research showed that the number of cigarette filters littered this year alone will be 45 times the number of stars in our galaxy — a stat that lit the fire for EarthGuard Filters.
Our Journey & Impact
What started as an aspiration has since evolved into EarthGuard Filters. We've developed a robust business model, created our first prototype, launched a direct-to-consumer website, secured early funding, and taken steps to protect our intellectual property.
